WELCOME TO

Indigenous Just Transition

eagle-small.png
Indigenous Just Transition (IJT) is a living movement born from the love we hold for our people, our lands and waters, and our future.

We are organizers, cultural workers, designers, and protectors working across Turtle Island and beyond to ensure Indigenous communities leading the transition from extraction to regeneration.

We believe that those of us who have walked with the land and the waters the longest:

who have gathered roots, sung songs of love and care, and stewarded sacred places for millennia — must be at the center of climate solutions. We aren’t just resisting what harms us. We’re remembering, restoring, and remaking systems with care at the core.

IJT supports communities in reclaiming governance, revitalizing our foodways and languages, restoring our waters, and reimagining what is possible.

Our work is ceremonial.
It is political.
It is practical.
It is sacred.
