About Indigenous Just Transition

Indigenous Just Transition (IJT) is a global initiative dedicated to empowering Indigenous communities to lead the shift from fossil fuel-based economies to regenerative, sustainable systems. Our work prioritizes Indigenous sovereignty, fosters community resilience, and promotes ecological restoration. Guided by principles of environmental justice and cultural revitalization, IJT seeks to create lasting impacts for communities and ecosystems worldwide.

Project Overview

IJT is seeking a talented, innovative team to design and develop a website, logo, and brand kit that embody our mission, vision, and values. The final deliverables will establish a strong, cohesive visual identity while providing a dynamic, community-centered web presence to showcase our initiatives and engage diverse audiences.

Scope of Work

1. Website Development

  • Design and build an engaging, user-friendly website that communicates IJT’s mission, vision, and ongoing projects.

  • Key sections to include:

    • About Us

    • Programs

    • Fiscally Sponsored Projects

    • Get Involved

  • Ensure responsive design, accessibility compliance (WCAG 2.1 or higher), and an intuitive content management system for easy updates.

2. Logo Design

  • Create a distinctive, culturally resonant logo that reflects IJT’s commitment to Indigenous leadership, environmental justice, and regenerative economies.

​

3. Brand Kit Creation

  • Develop a comprehensive brand kit to ensure consistency across all materials, including:

    • Color palette

    • Typography

    • Logo usage guidelines

    • Iconography

Evaluation Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated based on the following:

  1. Portfolio & Experience (25 points)

    • Demonstrated creativity, professionalism, and alignment with IJT’s values through previous projects.

  2. Timeline (50 points)

    • A realistic and efficient project timeline that meets deliverable expectations.

  3. Cost Effectiveness (25 points)

    • Transparent, detailed pricing that provides value within budgetary constraints.

Submission Requirements

Submit the following materials by Friday, January 17th at midnight:

  1. Project Proposal

    • Outline your approach to designing the website, logo, and brand kit.

  2. Portfolio

    • Provide examples of relevant past work, including links to websites, logos, and branding materials.

  3. Timeline & Cost Breakdown

    • Detail your proposed timeline for each phase of the project and include a clear cost breakdown.

Send all proposals to chiara@indigenousjusttransition.org and johnny@indigenousjusttransition.org with the subject line: RFP Submission – Website, Logo, and Brand Kit.

Proposals should include the following:

  • Contact information (name, email, phone)

  • Approach to the project

  • Proposed timeline and pricing

  • Portfolio of past work
